Playing more with #amiga OCS Dynamic Hires and ham_convert. This time trying different shot types to identify image quality factors. The first image here is from the Apollo 11 mission. On the right is floyd-steinberg-dithered dynamic hires output. Note how the ground is slightly different in tone, and the seismic experiment's drum is duller. Some of this is the 24 to 12-bit colourspace conversion, some is blockiness from limited palette changes in the available space.

Turbo Imploder is an executable cruncher for AmigaOS.

It wasn't particularly fast nor had a good compression ration, but, boy, it came an amazing soundtrack and and even VU meters with rasterbars! :amiga:

(someone should make a new video capture where compression doesn't fail, so we could hear the "save file" tune)
