Echando un ojo a la web de National Geographic en español veo que tienen su propia sección de Foto del día... y está activa, a diferencia de la americana, que solía ver en mi Ubuntu gracias a la extensión de @atareao

Pero no tiene feed RSS.

Por suerte, parece que se puede hacer algún apaño. En mi caso estoy probando con la funcionalidad que ofrece #FreshRSS para crear feeds de páginas webs y compartir una consulta de usuario vía #RSS :D

¿Alguien usa #Miniflux como lector de #rss ? ¿Sabéis si hay alguna manera de poner un límite a la cantidad de artículos listados? Por ejemplo, que se borren automáticamente aquellos con cierta antiguedad. Ahora mismo tengo 2217 en «no leídos» 😅

me rindo, alguien conoce algo parecido a #jekyll, para hacer blogs con #markdown o algo que se le parezca, y simplemente funcione y ya, gracias (y que tenga #rss)

Por falar em Peertube, descobri uma coisa legal hoje.

Se for de seu interesse, todos os canais no Peertube têm um feed RSS que permitem você escutar os conteúdos em seu agregador de podcast favorito.

Pelos meus testes, apenas o audio é transmitido, mesmo se o seu agregador der suporte a feeds de vídeo.

Ainda assim, mais uma maneira de acompanhar podcasts federados como o ótimo @dot_social do @mike

There are few greater disappointments than discovering that an interesting-looking #blog does not have an #RSS feed. Come on, folks.

I'm making steady progress on my #rss / #mastodon reader app, and I think it's converging to a good enough UX to make it my primary information source:

1. Articles are displayed in an infinite feed rather than an email-like inbox. There are no "pending" or unread counts.
2. By default, the less frequently a source posts, the more prominently its articles will show up in the feed. That way interesting occasional posts don't get buried below news and social updates.

What do folks use for #RSS feed manager these days?

I currently use the free version of #feedly but I'm starting to want the "pro" features, but I'd rather use something open source (whether "free" (as in beer) or not)

I'd prefer web based, so I can use this on my work computer

The last couple of months I've been working on a little #rss reader that doubles as a (read-only) #mastodon client. The UI is closer to a Mastodon/Twitter feed than an email inbox.

I'm still experimenting with it, and it's missing a bunch of basic stuff, but I did add some cool features already, like an embedded reader mode and a send to #kindle button.

It uses #python #flask for the backend and #htmx #hyperscript #bulma for the UI.
