That's not the point though: we're talking about making a user's account and entire social graph independent from an instance.

Actually a KEYone. I can really still recommend that model since you can get it for very little money ever since the KEY2 got released.

I just discovered that using the fingerprint sensor as a shutter button, the BlackBerry will automatically store the photos you take in an encrypted locker.
That is... super handy.

That's just one verification provider. Heck, even email verification would suffice. Keybase is merely what triggered my train of thought.

Nah, I just counted commits in local copies of all my repositories.
That said... why yes, I have a fairly complete shell history in a database 😂

A little tool using go-git I wrote, that essentially just walks through all my local repositories and collects stats, warns me of lingering changes etc.
Will publish some time soon if you're interested.

Fun fact from the #devops department:
today was apparently the day I ran "git commit" for the 20.000th time in my life.
That makes for an average of 4.6 commits per day since I started using git.
I think I'll celebrate with a cup of tea.

Hah, it's not actually one of the Marina City Towers, even though they were clearly the inspiration for this design:

I guess, if that becomes a standard and we can find a user-friendly way to implement that, I'd be more than happy.

They do actually let you supply a list of other donation methods for your project. I'm not sure how that'll affect the UI just yet, but I guess we'll find out soon.

As I've discovered in various talks and meetings, two out of three developers apparently do. I can see their reasoning as well, and in fact it's how some/many other languages behave: they eliminate empty elements in the splited list.
