@DracoMagister When i say its worse than Facebook I mostly mean the quality of the interactions, not the company itself.

I have over 1,000 followers on twitter and used to have over 4,000. Most of the responses I get on any posts are low quality if at all. Engaging meaningful conversation on a post is almost completely non existant, it is limited to sound bites almost by design, though your lucky to get that much.

At least on facebook while there is more drama ther eis more actual content to what people say. Here you get the content but less of the drama.

Twitter is basically just a worse version of Facebook where all the users are replaced with bots.

Meanwhile everyone thinks it is better simply because there is less drama because no one is real.

I'll take the quality interactions of the Fediverse anyday over that.

@DracoMagister Its a tough question to give a solid answer on without knowing the exact question. In general no not if it is respectful and considerate of others. Some ideas would be hard or impossible to voice respectfully though (for example if someone supported genocide).

If your respectful and you dont intrude on debates you have been told you arent welcome in (or its implied) you should be fine. We basically require our users to be kind, respectful, and respect a users right to disengage.

Spinster was silenced because their users didnt respect our right-to-disengage. When a user was requested over the course of 24 hours to leave one of our users alone they did not and repeatedly tagged the users and incited others to do the same, intentionally and unapologetically. In moderator discussion it became clear this was not a violation of their rules and thus were suspended. You can see the log of the decision here:

@mandlebro Makes sense. My jacket has a high collar plus I wear a wide brimmed hat in the cold. End result is that I'm pretty well covered up.

@namark I dunno, like I said I never met anyone who felt the need to use one. My jacket covers my next just fine and even in arctic weather I personally dont feel much need to cover my face unless its really windy and negative. But at that point I'd use more than a scarf.

Nothing wrong with using a scarf just never actually met someone in real life who uses it.

@DinkaChica Head scarves make sense to me. Especially in regions where you may not be able to buy a jacket due to poverty or just cultural norms or something..

Its mostly neck scarves I dont understand. Not sure what role they fill that a heavy outer covering wouldnt

Yea there are many cultures with different sort of head scarves that go by different names, not that I know what those names are. Older russian women wear it a lot too.

@DinkaChica I think I mean a neck scarf, I'm not sure what a head scarf is unless you mean muslim-type head coverings, but I've never called those scarves, I would call that a burka.

I have never met anyone who wears scarves, I cant understand why anyone would. Why do scarves even exist!
