When I went to buy a strong, take-away coffee for home I passed this guy doing a chainsaw carving.
They are reasonably common here and it's still surprising the level of detail that may be accomplished with a chainsaw!
He's obviously still roughing in this one.
It was beside the cafe on the sidewalk in front of a cold beer and wine.
You can see Health and Safety lets no one escape their tyranny ;-)

ad-block lists are usually a one person effort or a Very small group. With a collaborative black list it would be too easy for a 'gab' to poison the well.

Interesting vid. I mostly ignore accents and just think of them as part of the person. Big respect for knowing multiple languages.

Tones are hard for english speakers. Hard to even think about. I may say like 'XI jinPING', but I only distinguish two tones in trying to say anything.

I only tried to read after I joined mastodon. I know it's bad, but spanish is my best one. Then french and german (I'm awful).
But friendly ppl write to me, so... I have hope.

NAACP returns Facebook donation, calls for boycott

Interesting: The NAACP has returned a donation from Facebook and called for a daylong boycott of the social network Tuesday following revelations of how its platform was used to manipulate black voters in the 2016 presidential election.

They want a boycott of fb and twit Tues, Dec. 18th.
