talkin with some peeps about how the fedi has done a kind of poor job of accommodating people of color, and i think especially those of us who are trans, and have benefited greatly from the fediverse damn near bending over backwards for us, those of us who are white can do a lot better in taking hints from poc on the fedi as to what kind of behavior is and isn't welcoming, and doing some emotional labor for them in asking other white people to modify certain kinds of problematic behavior
