how will we enforce it? well we got these left over vans from British Leyland that can detect TVs. we will be adjusting the equipment to detect shitpost instead.
ok thank you for your understanding

and suddenly the hellscape that is IT is now understood by me -

yeah?
we live in a post-9/11 world, does that make the USA Patriot act ok?
mob mentality like this will simply ruin everything we have built together. if you want to block instances that have usage patterns that violate your own rules, fine, but blocking instances for not buying into "you're with us or you're against us" mentality? that's bad praxis and everyone knows it. -

jejune :abunhdhappy: (kaniini@pleroma.site@pleroma.site)'s status on Sunday, 18-Aug-2019 23:38:10 UTC jejune :abunhdhappy: hey, we could really use some help testing https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/merge_requests/1585 in Pleroma.
if you want to test it as an instance admin, please use the `integration/alex.s/gun` branch on the main Pleroma git repo. this tracks the `develop` branch with the 1585 MR applied to it.
i am holding the MR until i know for a fact that a few other busy instances have tested it, as we cannot afford to have any breakages with this... -

thanks to @rin and @lain for helping to look over the release.
see you in a couple of weeks with 1.0.6 :)

yeah, some instance blocks are bullshit, but making sure your door isn't kicked in seems like pretty good reason to block an instance when they show no sign of ensuring future incidents don't happen. -

this release contains several fixes for embargoed bugs relating to OStatus.
upgrading to the 1.0.3 release or to latest `develop` is *strongly* recommended.
