The highest recorded wind gust in the storm yesterday was 74 mph. That is hurricane force wind. That, along with hail, destroyed my garden, did a number on my fence, and tore up my roof. We were all booty hurt by this until we drove around town today and saw trees that had fallen onto houses, fences, or cars. Parts of town have been without power since the storm, and some snapped power poles are still down 24 hours later. Right around the corner from us a carport is on someone's roof, someone who didn't have a carport before. For the last several years most of our meat has come from hunter friends or small local farms. We've been forced to go back to meat from the corporate world for some of our meat. How can anybody eat this stuff? -

Old movies are cool, even the dopey ones like Singin in the Rain. Hollywood lost all its class in the 60s sometime. I think it might have been the addition of color. I don't think they have made a movie really worth watching in 50 years or so. -

True and I happened to think about a certain person on GS whom I really did not like at all. I left other social platforms because of this person and it seemed everybody on GS befriended him too. I got to reading his replies to everyone I came to realise, that even though he was a sanctimonious #$_&+, he wasn't really as bad as I remembered. -
