So let me get this straight:
Github scanned a bunch of open source projects.
They trained an AI with it.
They basically ignored the licenses and tried to shove a "because we are basically copying GPL code, it doesn't mean the result is GPL".
And now they are charging for it?
Gaming: One of the best decisions I made recently was moving out of the server I was in Guild Wars2 (Magumma).
I never realized how toxic the WvW chat was till I moved to another server (Ferguson Crossing).
I guess "toxicity" and "micro aggressions" are things that you don't realize you're under till you get out of it.
From time to time, I remember this toot from @codl :
"only 90s kids remember when recaptcha was helping project gutenberg transcribe old books instead of feeding the google machine learning beast so they can make cars"
Actually, I remember that every freaking time I need to select buses, or traffic signs, or sidewalks, or hydrants.
Me: "Here is my CV for the Python position."
They: "We saw you also know Java, so we are going to test you in that too, ok?"
But I want Python! 😢
