I also want to express how continuously delighted I am, on a nearly daily basis, that the NDP is calling their network events with their leader "Jagmeet & Greets"

(and that billionaires are not invited)

(because the only appropriate place for such a Jagmeet & greet would be in the octagon of punching)

I was a Canadian living in the US for many years, transparently with an address change registered in my bank, and it wasn't an issue. I had no stocks. I banked with big banks and then, later, credit unions. The trick was moving cash from one country to the next--cheques to myself and Transferwise helped.

There's about 300 folks gathered at the University of Alberta tonight to discuss the AB Gov's aggressive attacks on its energy critics. I love being back in a public and publicly-engaged university ♥️🏫

On the one hand, grant writing is a painful exercise in overstating one's analytic grasp on a problem one would like to spend years thinking about. On the other hand, I maybe just found the thesis of my book in the course of writing one?
