Unless you allready know for a fact, that this is correct, or can verify it some other way you can't trust it though. It will very confidently absolutly blatantly false things, mixed in with correct stuff. It's very convincing for sure, but there is no reason to belive it.

I was interested in why you can take pills of melatonin, but not seratonin so I asked chatgpt. It told me very convincingly that it was due to seratonin not being able to cross the blood brain barrier. I asked why, and it told me it was because seratonin is a bigger molecule than seratonin. I then asked about molecular weight of the two compounds and it correctly gave the respecitive weights, showing that seratonin is smaller than melatonin. -

It is clear to me that even though it is very convincing it is still just predicting what word comes after the next based on a lot of data, so it will create something plausible, but you have no way of knowing if it is factually correct. -

"Water has to absorb 4,184 Joules of heat (1 calorie) for the temperature of one kilogram of water to increase 1°C. For comparison sake, it only takes 385 Joules of heat to raise 1 kilogram of copper 1°C."

Micke (micke@camp.smolnet.org)'s status on Monday, 13-Jun-2022 07:17:13 UTC Micke @tagomago It will probably be fine soon, I looked it up and it seems it comes back pretty quickly for most people. Also it is not completly gone, I just tried smelling coffee grounds and five spice powder. I can sense smell from it, but it isn't the normal smell and it smells the same weird flat smell. A bit trippy, haha.

It is truely a horrific society where people can learn about what is happening in the world without paying for it 😩

Micke (micke@camp.smolnet.org)'s status on Wednesday, 04-May-2022 07:45:34 UTC Micke I was a bit worried that the birdsite exodus would turn fedi into the same kind of crap, that I left behind. So far it seems mostly people I like has come over, and are making an effort to leave all that negative stuff behind. Thanks guys, and I am happy you are here! 🤗
