Problems we are having with #Signal:
* It is and will remain centralized (clear strategy of *not* federating servers)
* It requires strong identifiers/selectors (phone#) to use
* Author disallows distribution by anyone but Google, although free/libre
* It keeps pushing away verification of fingerprint in interface
* It relies on Google+Amazon infrastructure
* Its funding is shady (OTF = Radio Free Asia = USG)

= clearly unethical choices, unjustifiable by accessibility or technological reasons.

So #Article13, imposing automated censorship of the Internet, kicked many times out of EU Parliament before (#ACTA, etc.) is now coming back, pushed by guess who...? A German conservative (A.Voss) and a French copyright taliban, robo-slave of the entertainment industry, who built his career thanks to them (JM.Cavada)! Surprise!!!

If this thing is adopted, one can know what to think of EU and its institutions...

Fortunately, the hopes and aspirations carried by the ZAD are now anchored in 10+y praxis of collectively building a more humane, ecological and resilient future. This won't go away!

Destroying the structures of the ZAD will spawn dozens of (re)constructions all over France, Europe and the World!

So much of the dysfunctions I saw in this World come from that "myth of growth" being so pervasive even in the most thoughtful minds.

When something is working well, gets attention & credit, everyone usually ask themselves how to make it *bigger* and this is when things start to work not so well anymore.. (more inertia, need for communication, more opinions to compose with etc.)

Instead of growth, let's value emulation, inspiration, replication, distribution <3

In other terms: *WE LOST THE WEB* already. Not to the FCC nor the crappy industry-lobbying on them, but by letting oligopolies go too far and get too much of our lives: behaviour analysis & data collection, Javascript, X-scripting, DRM/HTML5, black-box hardware, etc. Time to move on. Take back technology. Invent the next, human-centric protocols, hardware and software commons. Break the oligopolies.
