@dosnostalgic Doom was indexed in Germany for the longest time and it took me until 2001, when I played Doom II for the first time to really get me going.
Nowadays I play through any given Doom episode at least once per month on Ultra-Violence.

@dosnostalgic That game was my jam as a kid. One of the few games I could start and play myself, long before I learned English.
