    @aemon Home, so no big deal, just frustrating because I had to do like 3 installs before I knew exactly what the problem was. so now I'm grabbing latest debian testing, getting that installed.

    So, ubuntu 17.10 refuses to boot after nvidia driver is installed, reminds me why I had Debian on there - it just works, so that's what I'll do now, reinstall debian. what a waste of time that was to test ubuntu.

    @roland @boris yes, I know there are alternative quake engines (I use that my self heh). But I did not think about mentioning that, I just tested the native windows quake version, I will add  a comment on it, to avoid any confusion. Thanks for pointing it out.

    The latest Ubuntu gnome has me intrigued, I have replaced Debian testing with the latest ubuntu with the gnome desktop, removed th crapware (amazon shit) and I must admit I like it. So now I will run this, has all the stuff I usually need, and then some.

    Had a really good day at the office today, lot's of coding and problem solving (c++\c# + qt).
    I really enjoy days like today, and it helps a lot of my motivation \ inspiration to have days like today.

    Coding is not fun anymore, 3D and games are not fun either.I'll take a break for a while from those things, not that I spend a lot of time on it (I do not have much free time), but when it's not fun it's time to step back and do other things.So I'll shift my focus for a while.

    @einebiene It was really nice too. I did not bring my kids to that hike, because its was a bit more demanding then what they can do right now.
    I wanted to walk one of the trails that goes in a huge loop, but I had to turn around because the sun sets to early and fast this time of year, and I did not want to get caught off guard on a new trail, either way is was really nice.

    And when I got home I took my kids out for a nice walk with the dog. So it's been a Sunday well spent :)

    Went for a nice Sunday afternoon hike today.
    Weather was fantastic, just above freezing.
    It was a new trail that I have not walked before.
