@codewiz @kkarhan @thunderbird @mozilla I'd like to hear Bernie's answer. For secret keys there is a workaround in the existing stable releases (via external gnupg config). For public keys there will be a workaround in 115 that can read pulic keys via GPGME. Unfortunately it was reported as being slow. Reason might be with the reporter's smartcard setup, or with GnuPG's trust db checks, or something else, currently uncertain.
