Received a "DMCA Takedown Notice" from Twitter. One of my tweets has been removed, apparently due to a copyright violation. Copyright owner: Board of Control for !Cricket in !India. From what I see, all I did was posting a link to a website that had a live streaming video of a certain cricket tournament. // -

@robmyers sure, I will email you. But please kindly have a look at the rest of this thread. We are discussing the need of having an updated homepage for gnu social. Current website is extremely outdated. It doesn't even provide the most basic information about gs. People want to update the site.
If your email address is the best way to contact the project regarding such matters, please add it to the site making it clear?

@lnxw48a1 there it is! There were several other entries named gnu social. It makes no sense. Gnu.io should link to the actual place. Not to a list of projects run by various people.

@lnxw48a1 I still tend to call it dent. Given that we are now on !GNUsocial, and identica is hardly online, I would like to propose a new term:
gnoop (can be pronounced as noop, if you like)
Paying tribute to GNU. But I doubt anyone can formally introduce and establish such terms ... 0_o

A much needed feature for !gnusocial is a way to search within my current subscriptions. Right now I want to remove the old account used by @nds after subscribing to the new one. There is no way to get this done other than looking for it manually, page by page :-S -

4 gb sounds like a lot of memory. Is it normal for a !gnusocial instance (a "public" site as large as gnusocial.no ) to consume that much? Are you running quitter.no on the same database?
It would be useful to know the memory consumption of some of the other instances too. When I ran a single user instance on a shared host, my site was deactivated after some months due to overuse of resources... #thinkingaloud -
