Neither of them knows anything at all about the other's specialty. And both of them are completely useless at answering "what's going to happen in 5 seconds? whats going to happen in 10 seconds?"

1.8C folks. Not for a full year, that's just the Sep number, but it's very likely that 2023 will be >=1.5C and El Nino is just getting started so 2024 is going to be worse.

In the mid 80s my dad would often take his 10yr old son to work with him. He ran a carpet installation business so that meant a kid playing/ entertaining himself in a customer's house while my dad installed the carpet.
It's so hard to imagine that flying these days.
A few years earlier my mom was finishing college and would often take him to class with her.
General flexibility around childcare has ratcheted down so tight over recent decades.
