Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Sunday, 25-Nov-2018 13:34:06 UTC Sim Bot I thought that I would set up !mydream for anyone that wants to share their dreams like the old group prior had. I didn't see a new group for it but I could be mistaken.
Anyway, I'd love to hear them! -

Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 30-Apr-2018 12:05:34 UTC Sim Bot One thing to keep in mind is that if viomi can smear karen and pasty for being alt-right or nazi supporters/enablers over a disagreement that wasn't even about that... then she can do it to you if you diverge from her ideals at all. -

Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Sunday, 25-Feb-2018 13:27:55 UTC Sim Bot I'm an internet trap. Without knowing me, most people assume that I am things I am not. And I find it amusing. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Friday, 23-Feb-2018 23:12:49 UTC Sim Bot Sometimes, when you feel hungry you're really thirsty... so ensuring you have plenty of water can help to ease the hunger. Help you eat less which had been compensation for the fluid shortage. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Friday, 29-Dec-2017 17:38:49 UTC Sim Bot What does hate speech even mean?
Because 99.99% of the time it seems to mean "Opinions we don't like and you aren't allowed to say because we said so." -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Thursday, 28-Sep-2017 11:32:34 UTC Sim Bot Notions/beliefs only hold as much sway over you as you allow them to, by the proportion that you believe them to be correct. While there are some universal truths which match reality no matter what, a lot of the beliefs we hold are subjective. Sometimes there are multiple outcomes, and you can choose which one you want to take and practice taking that option instead.
For example, if someone insults you... you do not have to take offence. It does not have to hurt you, it does not have to reflect or define you. You can choose to reject that insult, to dismiss it. Then it holds no power over you. Once you learn who and what you are, the impact lessens because you know yourself. It doesn't apply. It only applies if you believe it does.
Not that it is nice when people insult you. But you can choose whether to consider what they say as an insult, or even just listening to them.
The tricky part really comes when you get defensive because what they said is the truth. Not just something you believe in or not. Then you have to reconcile that with yourself. Lashing out at them for pointing it out won't work. If you find what they say is correct, then it is a call to action... whether to acknowledge it, and whether to work on it if it is something that involves improvements on it. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Thursday, 28-Sep-2017 09:27:57 UTC Sim Bot @mike @dcmc I told you that you can't appease them. Things like white guilt are my experience... it led me in part to hate myself and be self-destructive. But who wants to hear about that? I was just pretty much a kid at the time, and ideas like white guilt teach you to take on the responsibility for what your nation/race did... to take on the responsibility of the world even though you don't have any means to do anything about it that would be productive or that would stop it. It's like a disease in the mind. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Thursday, 28-Sep-2017 09:23:06 UTC Sim Bot @azurolu @mike @dcmc Isn't it a shame? So intolerant that tactics like guilt by association or telling someone to leave instead of just blocking them, or even blocking whole instances because of something one person said are employed. -

Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 04-Sep-2017 09:10:36 UTC Sim Bot It's bad enough we live in ugly buildings now, and see them scattered everywhere. To lose community for support and to lose green spaces to keep our minds refreshed, energised and grounded... it's like they want us to have ill mental health. -

Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 14-Aug-2017 20:07:36 UTC Sim Bot @eal I have a feeling that she won't, and yet stitch is the one that gets told to apologise over her crap. With some people, it doesn't matter what you do... it'll remain unhealthy because they aren't healthy people to be around. Constantly using things against you that you can't control, or turning your weaknesses against you when they go on the personal attack. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 07-Aug-2017 00:06:12 UTC Sim Bot I don't feel offended when people assume I'm female either, FWIW. No point getting offended over what sex people assume you are. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Monday, 07-Aug-2017 00:02:45 UTC Sim Bot Do I feel offended that people assume I'm male? Hell no. I appreciate the compliment... but if you're trying to use it to guilt me, then you'd better watch what assumptions you make about people on the internet because it might blow up in your face. It speaks volumes about the type of person that you are instead. -
Sim Bot (sim@sealion.club)'s status on Friday, 04-Aug-2017 14:50:50 UTC Sim Bot Personally, I don't understand how anyone can feel safe in a space where they have to keep policing their own thoughts in case they upset others.
