And I don't know if I need to spell it out for people, or at least the bad faith actors who are defending an abusive 40 y/o man

But I was sexually assaulted when I worked for Walmart, harassed, denied personal rights, and literally almost everyone I worked with treated me like a disgusting alien and even my own managers and HR refused to do anything about the plethora of shit that was being shoveled in my face, to the point where HR themselves removed my bathroom rights entirely

Back in 2014 I had a severe mental breakdown partially because of how badly I was being treated in my job at the time. I shutdown so hard that I literally started to believe I was bad, and because of the breakdown, I couldn't tell the difference

There was a point during that year that I thought maybe I was a sociopath, and I lashed out at people, I said and did things I shouldn't have. And it took me a year to realize what had really happened, and I apologized, I made amends. Because being traumatized isn't an excuse to lash out, but I did and I regret it.

I couldn't tell the difference between being abused and gaslit so much that I mentally died for a short period of time, and being a 'sociopath'. That's how bad it was.

But if your only source on that were Kiwifarms then you'd probably think I'm just a stonecold psychopath rather than a severely abused trans woman with no resources or help to speak of.

And that's what yall are doing to Laurelai

Also like, even if you overlook the Laurelai stuff, why's the bofa admin targetting Ginny?

Just like how I'm typing all of this but it'll only reach a handful of sympathetic ears while an admin with a platform of 600+ people is targeting vulnerable women is garnering attention of the entire fediverse because we haven't moved past never questioning anything men do

I guarantee you if the bofa admin were a trans woman this would all be absolutely under the radar because a lot of people don't listen to women, especially if they're trans

It looks like Twitter toxicity is here and all it took was an abusive man who has money to toss up a troll instance where he uses marginalized people as a shield against criticism

The irony of someone saying they 'loathe the patriarchy' while simultaneously moving to an instance where a guy is using his patriarchal benefits (like how ppl will listen to a man without question even if he's sourcing nazis) to target women

I've got multiple people asking me to refollow them on knzk and you should know that instance is associated with bofa.lol & is also blocked by the instance I'm on

And I don't really wanna switch cause this is generally a cool instance and I know for a fact that a lot of what's being said is garbage because I've known Laurelai for like 7 years, and I also know and have _seen_ the people who have accused her have also admitted to lying, and have spread falsehoods about other trans women and like the only reason Laurelai is repeatedly targeted based on lies that _people have admitted to making_ is because they're documented through dubious screenshots on Nazi websites

I don't want to have to move instances because a man is using sources from Nazis and their affiliated stalkers, to smear multiple women across the fediverse but I'm here to share music and generally not end up being targeted by abusers

So if this gets even worse I might be switching

Being instance-blocked by women on Mastodon

@Laurelai Not to mention blocking an entire instance of trans people because he only values people who kiss his ass

His main beef with Kitty.town is being blocked them, because apparently he doesn't understand consent and boundaries

Like even blocking this instance across multiple instances doesn't curb the toxicity because they just block-dodge and the admin puts people on his public timeline for channer-brigading

Literally ever since that instance went up Masto has generally been quite a bit more toxic and I don't like it

This is just a general PSA (cough meta)

Being forced to participate in capitalism so that you don't die/starve to death doesn't make you a hypocrite or a capitalist

Now I wanna preface this with: People should absolutely be held accountable, especially up to and including people who hold power, and that goes for small cases where people wield power over a community

Now, holding people accountable is important, but more often that not, 'calling someone out' or writing up a callout post or whatever, these tactics are frequently used as a measure to silence and isolate someone. And maybe you've perceived that there are people who deserve this. You may have also noticed that proof, in a lot of context, is always easy-to-manipulate or fabricate screenshots and copy/pastes

But I think the most important thing to consider, at least when your 'callout' is directed at a marginalized person who already is at a huge disadvantage in society is: Would you be comfortable if your actions lead to that person's death?

Because in the case of marginalized people, this is what happens. Kiwifarms uses this as their main tactic, except in a twisted kinda psychopathic form, and it _has_ lead to the deaths of both cis and trans women.

Ask yourself if what you're doing is important enough to warrant someone's death.
