🍓 Downtime - servers reboot 🍓

Tomorrow morning (amsterdam local time) between 9-10:00 we will restart our servers as a result of operating system upgrades. This means things will be unavailable for few minutes (up to 30min) while servers restart.

💣 Diaspora registration closed 💣

Due to invasion of spam accounts attacking for last weeks, we have decided to temporarily close registration on diaspora. We will use this time to cleanup the user base from all spam accounts and work on performance improvement so needed on diaspora.

you can also create pads within cloud. just press the plus icon in files app as if you want to make a folder or text file. in dropdown menu you have option to create a pad or spreadsheet.

it could very well be the person on hubzilla side did not enable or re-enable activitypub plugin for his/her account. we are going to solve this for new users with pre-defined app set but for current users they need to go to https://hub.disroot.org/apps/available to enable it

currently we dont provide catchall. never found it useful enough, specially when not for commercial use.

@colegota Trnalsation of the registration story is not a problem. We have a very active crew that does translation. But its more the thing of for example tomorrow we might decide for various reasons (for example we notice some bots learned to give legit answers or it became harder to distinguish between them etc) to change the story to something else, we cant wait for everyone to translate it first. We want to be free to change the stories as we please. For example on weekly basis.

yes its on purpose like that at least for now. we have been changing the question quite frequently and asking people to translate it each time we (admins) felt like changing it was too much of a hassle.
