I wrote an article about grammar for technical writers. Read this before you write another word about technology!

Thanks to Jim Hall of the
@freedosproject for creating a great tech writing community!

@ryanleesipes at work i use mutt because it's simple, direct, and efficient.

At home i use kmail because i have multiple accounts abd i find that kmail handles that well. I also keep telling myself that I am going to eventually actually start using the rest of the kde PIM suite.

@Algot @ryanleesipes I would proceed with great caution. As Ryan says, definitely clone your profile, and I would make sure you have your actual emails backed up. I've definitely made the mistake of updating to a nightly build of Firefox only to find it "impossible" to go back.

I run a stable system, as well. Personally I wouldn't risk it.

If anything, maybe create a temporary user and try Beta there with a clean environment. Set Thunderbird Beta to NOT delete mail from server.

If you're looking for a nice self-hosted but multi-user git instance, take a look at Gitolite. It makes backend admin of your repositories, and adding users, authenticated by SSH keys, easy.

What if Google stopped resolving searches in protest over #NetNeutrality? Or Apple shut down iTunes for a day? Where are all the super hip "socially concious" and "revolutionary" businesses now?
