Also, it turns out EFL fully matches my criteria for an ideal toolkit.

✅ Isn't dependent on any hyped tech, but can support it
✅ ...except Wayland, which should come by default
✅ Draws to the GPU
✅ Supports multiple input devices, like touch
✅ Lets me do enough theming
✅ Is as lightweight as possible
✅ Written in C or Rust

The advantages so far are quite mind-blowing, in comparison:

👉 Pretty lightweight (at least when compared to GNOME or KDE)
👉 More than decent tiling mode, perhaps the best I've seen
👉 Everything is tweakable from the GUI settings (a bit confusing at times but then it's OK)
👉 The compositor has some really neat effects
👉 If you're stuck on GNOME because of the search option which lets you quickly launch apps and find files... don't worry, Everything is right there (ba dum tss)

Disadvantages of Enlightenment so far:

👉 Can't manage Bluetooth from the GUI because E17+'s Bluetooth module is for Bluez 4 and I'm on Bluez 5
