Reading the #LineageOS 20 discussion thread on HN makes me want to try it out, but #Samsung device support is spotty, and the S22+ isn't supported yet.

Now I regret not getting a #Google #Pixel... My phone is full of crapware made by Samsung, and all I want is a stock #Android UX with a few #Google apps I use daily: Maps, Translate, Chrome, Photos, Calendar...

But wait! That's is a CPU-only implementation. The #GPU acccelerated #OpenCL for Intel CPUs is still backed by intel-opencl.

Ah. I wasn't expecting it... clinfo says that I have Rusticl enabled on my Intel laptop!

    That's right! It's a #Rust implementation of #OpenCL 3.0:

    2. Mesa 22.3 Lands New "Rusticl" OpenCL 3.0 Implementation
      from @michaellarabel
Karol Herbst of Red Hat has seen his new 'Rusticl' implementation merged into mainline Mesa! Mesa 22.3 next quarter will introduce this new Rust-written OpenCL 3.0 implementation that will hopefully be more successful than the existing Gallium3D 'Clover' OpenCL driver.

Nope. Not even #Debian sid would have it yet. It's still in experimental:

#swaywm 1.8 came out just a few days ago. With #Debian, you might have to build it from source (or switch to unstable).

A Falcon 9 launch from less than 3km away feels like an earthquake. The exhaust is so bright it's hard to watch, and lights up the night sky like a thousand firework exploding at once.

Perhaps there are solutions floating around to address each one of these little issues, but I expect distros to come up with a reasonable defaults for the #Sway desktop session that can still be customized by the user.

@suprjami @globalc Every now and then I try #Swaywm, and I like it in principle, but there's always something missing that makes me turn back to #KDE / #GNOME.

Now they figured the lockscreen + PAM integration, but how about suspending the laptop lid close? How about autoconnecting Bluetooth devices and moiunting USB sticks? How about IMEs? How about HiDPI? How about remembering the configuration of external displays and layout?
