BTW, if this interests you and you're a student, maybe you'd like to work on "guix deploy" as a summer project? @dthompson and myself are interested in mentoring "guix deploy" and related tooling for GSoC this year. https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:Guix/GSoC-2019#Guix_Deploy
Just think! You could spend your summer hacking lisp/scheme/guix/functional-distros/etc!

Yesterday @dthompson and I (mostly Dave) worked on "guix deploy" and got it to a nearly minimally working state https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/guix-devel/2019-03/msg00114.html
However, we're stuck on a weird issue involving (guile-)ssh. We could use help if you're interested in looking.

tl;dr - got close but stuck on an ssh issue.

@bob I abandoned these conspiracy theories after watching http://herebedragonsmovie.com/files/Here%20Be%20Dragons.avi.torrent (also legally shareable according to this website). These conspiracy theories just bring people to inaction, as there's no way to change the conspired status quo. I prefer to be a #FreeSoftware activist and software freedom reviewer instead.

Perhaps the lack of data indicates to Google that a user must be a conspiracy theorist. -

"#UltraReach says their security considerations mean they prefer third party expert review to open source review."
... and we know that "third party" isn't of the Chinese Communist variety ... how? I have no idea what to recommend to Chinese nationals for getting out the Great Firewall. But I would strongly advise them against using anything that doesn't make it's source code public. It's the most basic security precaution there is.

Suggesting David Icke conspiracy videos. I have literally no idea where this came from. I don't think I've ever expressed any kind of interest in David Icke on YouTube or elsewhere, but then YouTube probably doesn't have a lot of data about me because I'm not using other Google services and use Tor browser much of the time. -

I just spent half an hour trying to connect to the hotel WiFi. Then my wife absent-mindedly turned off the router, and I have to start again from scratch. For fucks sake people! No one is going to be #wardriving more than 20 floors up! You don't need a WiFi passcode, and if you must have one, give it to us at reception with our room key. #GrumpyForeigner #FirstWorldProblems

Hey kids when you're designing awesome decentralised stuff, don't forget discoverability. I mean podcasts, conceptually, are perfectly decentralised but when I ask someone about their podcast 90% of the time they tell me to look it up on iTunes.
