@resynth1943 If you compare #IceCat with normal #Firefox, switch criteria to ESR. Also, there is a pre-release available for those who have #Guix package manager installed.
This week on @fossandcrafts we talked with @brainwane about many things, including the need for representation of FOSS culture in visual and narrative arts!
We also happened to discuss how both @brainwane and @cwebber had used their hobby skills to make fundraising materials for @conservancy . It just so happens that the Conservancy is once again in the middle of their annual fundraiser, so if you're in a position to do so, maybe consider contributing? https://sfconservancy.org/supporter/
As a direct consequence, the site is no longer accessible from several countries. Indirect consequence: sysadmin and developpers in these same countries can no longer download Gitlab's source code to install it on their servers.
@resynth1943 Well, start by pushing packages to the system distribution's default package managers, this will also make it easy for free/libre system distributions, since they can't include #NodeJS's #NPM or similar single-language package managers unless:
a) NPM uses default only repos commited to #GNU#FSDG;
b) distro modifies NPM to include a repo like (a).
Regarding how much money book publishers have lost by refusing to sell this author DRM-free: https://yingtongli.me/blog/2020/12/04/drm-q4.html I'm sure those charts would look even more extreme for me in the context movies!
Um amigo meu está vendendo ceias veganas pra festas de fim de ano. Os pedidos vão ser recebidos até 15/12, e entregues no dia 23/12 perto da estação Bresser-Mooca (linha vermelha).
@Moosader Good times from Taito Fighters' Impact and Data East's Side Pocket 3 / 3D.
First one, together with Tekken, was the only fighter game to have human-perceptible time to respond, but Taito's was the only one that had a combo system preventing button mashing (faint if knocked out).
Side Pocket 3D was the only one to allow free advanced billard skills from the beginning (I suck at real game, though).
When editing @fossandcrafts sometimes we have guests and have to do "multi-track editing" in audacity... which is a bit more work than single track. @mlemweb sometimes edits but previously only did the single track ones but I wrote up a tutorial for her... so why not share it with you? https://dustycloud.org/misc/audacity-multi-track-tutorial.txt
@Animetrom Eu não compartilho mais do mesmo objetivo do mangá que vou falar agora, mas antes de me tornar ativista do software livre, costumava ler #Ubunchu

They're probably doing it to prevent timing attacks. Similar to Spectre, but not a CPU-level vulnerability.
But it immediately struck me as a probable performance regression. I reckon network timings shouldn't be exposed to webpages, but doing so would once again break most JS. JS was a mistake!
