today I am very busy as #pleroma made me interested, as suddenly connectivity is so much better to Mastodon instances, it all becomes quick and nice. -

@xahlee I am looking into a solution to convert tags from text into image, if you know any such software. Could be SVG images or imagemagick created image. This is with purpose to create automatically a corresponding image for web pages which do not have its major image, if you know Opengraph or Schema.org -- this can also help your websites to get more visibility in Internet. -

@xosem well it makes sense to have many users, provided there are many instances. Now we have few instances and few have of them have many users, this allows them to coerce their own way on shaping the federation. -

@openstreetmap #fediverse is not only #mastodon, please consider #gnusocial and #pleroma and there many others. Mentioning only Mastodon is somehow putting limits without reason, there would be no Mastodon without GNU Social @louis -

@xosem yet any larger federated instance may collect its users data too. The larger single federated instance becomes the more chance there is for that to happen. Inquiries for advertising on GNU Social are coming every few weeks. Even admins need some money, they will be selling advertising sooner or later. Admins are paying for federated instances out of their hobby, many instances disappeared already. They will be asking for donations or enabling advertising on GNU Social #gnusocial #pleroma #mastodon -- this can be globally prevented by having as many federated instances as possible. @xosem nothing prevents #gnusocial admins or #pleroma and #mastodon admins to collect personal users data. With larger federation this is automatically prevented as each admin has just few of the own users, and not much personal data from remote users.
