    @thomas Wenn es das tut, dann wird es aber sicher nicht am Geld liegen. Pursim hat ja schon Erfahrung mit Crowdfunding-Aktionen und ihre Laptops haben sie auch heraus bekommen… die haben auch ihren Markt. Sicher klein, aber ich denke bei denen kann dies etwas werden. U.a. da sie eben auch verstanden haben, dass man mehrere Distros auf einem Linux-Gerät lauffähig haben möchte.

    @jomo @paulfree14 The thing is there is no better good mainstream FLOSS browser. There are Firefox forks using legacy stuff. Maybe use epiphany. That is not a mainstream browser, however, and it won't have all recent features, but at least it gets security updates.

    Also I think Mozilla's stand on privacy is quite good, compared to Google or so. It's just that they (or one department) sometimes does such bad decisions

    @thomas Ich glaube das ist ein Problem bei Mozilla. Ich meine ist ja nicht so dass Chrome total datenschutzsensibel wäre (und wenn Nutzer dann deswegen dazu wechseln, ist das ja der totale Witz), sondern einfach so dass Mozilla alles transparent kommuniziert. So kommt dass dann auch heraus, wird evt. noch etwas gehypt und co…

    Bei Chrome merkst du dann nicht offenen Quellcode einfach nicht, wenn die irgendsoetwas machen.

    @jomo I also dislike that add-on and think it is not a good idea of them to do this A/B user testing. Still… that's kinda the point of the add-on. Get suggestions for the websites you visited. If the user ops-in into that (i.e. actively installs the add-on and is aware of that thing) I can see nothing wrong with that. It's their choice to share the browser history.
