    @witti Naja zumindest nicht verschlüsselt, aber so ein DM-Feature fände ich jetzt nicht so schlecht. Ist eben ein anderer Anwendungszweck und mit dem neuen Protokoll werden zumindest von GNUSocial-Nutzern nicht mehr diese privaten Toots gesehen.

    @witti @hikerus @fce @lain Bei Mastodon hat man so z.B. das Problem mit den privaten Toots gelöst. Es gibt schon berechtigte Gründe das einzusetzen.

    Sollte GNUSocial dann wohl am besten einfach auch mal implementieren.

    @throgh @benediktg @goebelmasse  Na solange dieses "Ideal" keine Person ist, dann ist ja gut. Das ging in der Geschichte nie gut… ;)
    Ansonsten möge man mal Ideale suchen, hat da aber nicht jeder irgend eins. "Sinn des Lebens"? Du wirst nichts finden, für das alle Leute einstehen, aber zumindest etwas wofür die Mehrheit einsteht… beispielsweise Demokratie?
    Andere "Ideale" waren allerdings auch oft nicht so ideal… Das Ideal sollte zumindest keinen zwingen, ihm auch folgen zu müssen, denn dann ist es eine Doktrin.

    Dein zweiter Absatz ist doch aber mehr gesellschaftliches. Und die Vorstellung von Kommunikation hat sich in den letzten Jahren natürlich gewandelt, aber dabei ist doch nicht alles schlecht. Wir könnten z.B. sonst so gar nicht kommunizieren.
    Ansonsten hat das doch nichts mit unserem politischen System zu tun. Oder ist die Politik oder "unser System" daran schuld, dass sich die Welt (kommunikationstechnisch) gewandelt hat oder das Leute heute sich nicht mehr zuhören?
