As much as I'm into Social Ecology and Bookchin's school of thought, I can't help but yawn when I'm reading his denser works. So I thought I'd put together a wee Social Ecology reading list made up of easily-digestible essays not written by Bookchin:

Being non-binary, I've used a lot of avatars, both gendered and neutral over the past decade of social media. And any time I present as even vaguely female, people seem much more eager to jump into my mentions to tell me that I'm wrong. Much more aggressively so, I might add.

Pixelfed will be a year old in a few days.

I'm a high school dropout that has never taken any CS or computer classes.

Web development is just a hobby of mine, I work in the auto industry.

I'm so proud of this project, I never would have imagined that I could make something like this.

If we're going down this road (I approve!) I have to speak up for Jocelyn Bell Burnell, discoverer of the first pulsars. In addition to being a brilliant scientist she is also an awesome person who recognizes and is trying to do something about the inequalities in science.
