Someone just provided me with the proper chapter numbering for #sudomastery, but the book is in copyedit and it's too late to do this. But, for your edification, the Author's Preferred Numbering should be:

Worst of all, there's no other book where I could do this chapter numbering. You can spoof Monty Python in one book, but doing it inmultiple titles is just sad.

Unless I need a third edition, that is...

Asking for help is hella embarrassing. I mean, I don't have a debilitating condition. My bills are basically paid, more or less. I'm vaguely healthy (for 50-something chubby dude values of healthy). And I'm surrounded by people who are missing one or more of these things.

But I remind myself that nobody can succeed alone, and ask.

So, if I can ask for help for something as stupid as book reviews? You folks who need stuff for actual survival need to keep asking too.

Having been on the Internet for over thirty years, I have one piece of advice for creative folks working online:

Control Your Platform.

Don't build a business around Facebook, Tumbler, G+, Geocities, MySpace, AltaVista, or any of these other third parties that claim to offer quick and easy results.

They all go away. Every one of them.

Build your own site. Use third parties to steer people to your site.

Third parties are the devil--useful devils, but devils.

Any hope of getting something like #NetBSD/#FreeBSD's blacklistd on #OpenBSD?

Lets a daemon like sshd or httpd feed IPs of bad auth attempts to a PF anchor.

Much nicer than fail2ban/sshguard.
