Not that I know of :blobsad:
PeerTube is working on streaming, but haven't heard about it lately.

Some Fediverse sites also have a "remote follow" button, which is even easier to use (just click on it) but these aren't yet available on all types of site.
@jonas p.s. This same method works for other types of Fediverse accounts like PeerTube channels, PixelFed pages etc.
If in doubt, try searching for a URL within Mastodon.
It's very easy, just paste the web address of the blog into the Mastodon search box and search for it. This should bring up the blog's fediverse account and a follow button next to it.
No such thing as an ignorant question! :blobsmile: You can ask me, and/or post with the hashtag #AskTheFediverse
Not as far as I know, though PeerTube is apparently working on it.
The nearest I can think of right now is Jitsi Meet, but that's a bit more of a Skype type thing:
As far as I know, the files are stored on the same instance as the original post.
If you're on an instance running the latest version of Mastodon, you may have noticed the image attachment button has turned into a paperclip 📎
This is because you can now attach lots of different kinds of media: images, video and audio 👍
The supported file types are:
JPEG/PNG/GIF for images
MP4/WEBM/MOV for video
MP3/WAV/OGG/FLAC for audio
There's a size limit of 8 megabytes on images and 40 megabytes on video/audio.
I think some instances have unofficial themes available? Not sure.
I've got to say, I *really* love using #Mastodon on single column light mode 😌
It's so much more relaxing and focused. My eyes aren't darting from one place to another constantly looking for stuff. The light background is less techy, more like the walls of a sunny room.
Photos are bigger, and the text I want to read isn't squished into a tiny column.
It's also easier to find features in the links list at the right hand side 👍
Yes, offline office stuff is exactly what LibreOffice is for 👍

@iaad @funkwhale @transcaffeine
YouTube is difficult because it's unclear what is there illegally, what is uploaded legally, and what is covered by the site's own licences. It's a mess 😕
@iaad @transcaffeine @funkwhale
I guess it depends on what licence the music is under, which country you are in etc etc?
As far as I know, each instance is independent and responsible for the legal side of what is shared on that instance.
#Funkwhale is a free open federated music storage and sharing platform:
You can follow it on here at:
If you want to see an instance in action, open.audio is a good example. It consists entirely of Creative Commons tracks that people have shared:
