like there's plenty of good reasons to want Wil Wheaton to piss off back to Twitter or wherever, but the most salient point from my point of view is that he's never had anything interesting to say ever. he's a geek brand, not a person

@Laurelai yeah. people want the benefits of society without realizing just what "society" means, at the individual level, and what that implies about how they deal with other people

they still want to be able to have absolute control over their immediate environment

@Laurelai as long as "benevolent dictatorship" is the usual model, just one person and their pals running things, no progress will be made
