   You don't need to self-host to use Nextcloud.

   There are lots of providers where you can sign up, just like you would sign up for Google Docs, for example https://owndrive.com and https://ocloud.de

   Another alternative to Google Docs is @cryptpad

   Just to emphasise, you don't need to self-host to use Nextcloud.

   There are many easy-to-use hosting companies offering Nextcloud accounts, e.g. https://indie.host, https://owndrive.com, https://ocloud.de etc.

   You can sign up for Nextcloud just like signing up for email.

   I would recommend @nextcloud :

   It has a really good phone app and file sharing/collaboration system, a lot of people use it for storing photos and videos.

   You don't need to self-host NextCloud, you can very easily sign up for an account on managed providers like https://owndrive.com, https://indie.host etc (more providers are listed at the link above).

   (You can self-host it too as it's free and open source, but you don't have to.)

   .@nextcloud is well known as an online file storage system, but did you know it also has a wide range of useful add-ons?

   You can take a look at:

   https://apps.nextcloud.com

   Some highlights include video chat, collaborative document editing, calendars, music libraries, news feeds etc.

   Once you've installed #NextCloud, you can add these extras very easily from the built-in app store.

   You can also use NextCloud through a managed service such as https://owndrive.com or https://indie.host
