I would recommend @nextcloud :

It has a really good phone app and file sharing/collaboration system, a lot of people use it for storing photos and videos.

You don't need to self-host NextCloud, you can very easily sign up for an account on managed providers like https://owndrive.com, https://indie.host etc (more providers are listed at the link above).

(You can self-host it too as it's free and open source, but you don't have to.)
