So #Fedora 37 XFCE was the worst yet. Could not figure out dnfdragon to gui update. Had SELinux warnings. No app launcher where you can type in what you want... Xubuntu and MXLinux did have that over the stock install. I think I will stick with Xubuntu.

@berryman @sageofredondo People who left KDE years ago due to quality issues should take another look: they're doing a great job at fixing old bugs and polishing every single pixel on the UI.

@sageofredondo Sorry to hear that. I'm assuming you are wanting to use XFCE on an older machine?

Have you looked at #KDE ? You are probably well aware that it's not as resource hungry as lot of people imagine. I've seen some comparisons with #XFCE and they seem to have similar memory usuage.

I've found #Fedora #KDE to be a good #KDE distro and it appears the #Wayland issue may have been sorted out.

I also use #XFCE at work, and it's a reasonable old-school desktop that works well with my 3 screens.

No Wayland, no tiling, no HiDPI, no HDR... but very stable.

The terminal is awful, but I replaced it with #Wezterm.
