Of the many items I brought to Portugal this time, there are three that I flagged as being at risk of falling apart during our 10-week stay. They are in fact all falling apart two weeks in, in part due to the harsher than expected operating conditions. First, these noise-canceling headphones, which are going on Exit Reviews when I have a bit more time. The outer casing is falling apart after only 4 years. I love using these but I expected more durability esp. for the price.

Chances are you'll either get one for free or for way less money than a pair of new headphones go.

Several ex co-workers have the same model without issues. But once there is a tiny weak spot where the plastic part attaches to the band proper, the plastic will start to get pushed out, bend and then break.
I should have taken pics without the duct tape but I needed the headphones for my practice session.
