Welp, I have too many NFC stickers and can't stop tagging things with them.
Pretty handy for home automation tho 😆

Just simple examples:
- virtual light switches, scan one of the tags on the tables / desks to switch light scenes
- put one on the balcony door to toggle the outdoor lighting
- check out items at the fridge, automatically restocking beverages
- scan a plant when you water it, get reminders
I have some but haven't put them to use. What sort of things have you been doing with them?
Price and availability at this point.
@fribbledom why nfc instead of RFID?
Home Assistant and NFC Tools/Tasker on Android for me.
Device still needs be unlocked, but otherwise it's "scan-and-forget".
@fribbledom What are you using to scan them and to trigger the actions? 🤔
In case the answer is an Android phone: Which app do you use? I'm still looking for something seamlessly scanning NFC tags triggering stuff without first asking me which app to open and what to do etc…
