   This instance, https://federate.social was launched 6 months ago in response to a civic emergency: Twitter’s hostile acquisition. I’ve kept it small, safe, reliable, and manageable. Our members have fully funded my costs generously. The block list I carefully assembled has minimized moderation work and harm. The next 6 months will inform my thinking on whether to keep things small and simple or move toward building the membership scale that would justify the costs of formalization. #MastoAdmin
