Spent 2 hours in Kobe.
This is Nishimura Coffee, a French-style cafe in a Bavarian-style building. Their espresso wasn't great though.

Found a #vegan cafe in #kobe serving delicious food and desserts π
I'm spending the night at ryokan in Arima Onsen (ζ馬温ζ³), a hot spring resort near Kobe. #japan
Ryokans tend to serve great washoku breakfasts π
This one is 100% #vegan, and 3 times what I'd normally eat in the morning.
Detail of the kozara (small plates, ε°ηΏ).
From top-left, clockwise:
- Soba with tororo (θ―θ·, grated yam),
- Black soybean nattΕ (never seen it before doesn't taste much different),
- Aemono (εγη©),
- Cold tofu with negi.
On the left, nori seaweed and tsukemono (ζΌ¬η©).
On the right side, three pieces of agedashi tofu (ζγεΊγθ±θ
), which is one of my favorite #vegan washoku:

And the salad is just an ordinary salad, but nice and fresh.
It's common for ryokan to have relaxation rooms with large windows for nature contemplation.
This one also has a rotenburo (open air bath) with a forest & mountain view π€©
