I am currently slowly playing remasters of Rise of the Triad and Quake 2. Both incredibly well done updates of games I don't really like. 😅

@UltraCrush I find it incredibly bland and boring.

@UltraCrush I *love* first Quake. Both remasters are great. In fact Quake 2 remaster has even more new features that first's.

@dosnostalgic Huh. Well what about the first Quake? That remaster was excellent.

One of the more surprising aspects of new-feature-packed Quake 2 update is the fact that all of the pre-rendered cutscenes have been completely redone.

@MichaelKlamerus The railgun doesn't feel quite right either. But hey, the weapon switching is fast now!

@dosnostalgic I was shocked by that. The other unexpected change was how the machine gun works, unless I’m misremembering how it pushed your aim up

@ianmclean @MichaelKlamerus Well, just like many other features in the game, it served to add extra annoyance. 😅

@MichaelKlamerus @dosnostalgic Yes they got rid of the muzzle climb. It was a bit pointless in the first place, it's not like having to move your mouse slightly downward as you fired really added any strategy or anything
