   Sea ice across the Pacific side of the #Arctic has now dropped to the 2nd lowest on record in at least the satellite-era. This is a lot of open water.

     @ZLabe i see the yellow line of 2012, was this year another record year in other aspects or only this particular ice measure?

     @ZLabe was it a significant event, like 2-sigma, 3-sigma event? could 2023 beat it? hope not

     @santiago 2012 also observed the lowest extent of sea ice on record for the entire Arctic.
