   Las #IM y sus cosas:
   
   - Tanto #Telegram como #Signal requieren numero telefónico para usar los servicios.
   - Son centralizados, no permite a los usuarios ejecutar sus propios servidores que interactúan con otros servidores en la red, - Signal implementó una criptomoneda en su aplicación a espaldas de todos, mientras Telegram intentaba poner públicamente una criptomoneda allí. 😦

     @avoca xmpp, more than fragmented, suffers from lack of momentum, marketing to reach many

     Signal, although "known", due to the practices it has been having, gives food for thought.

     While simplex, although it may seem complicated, with a QR that you share with the contact you are ready. Let's say that for contacts that require more security, going through TOR helps a lot. Being very similar to Tox (complex contacts)......... @simplex @delta

     My thoughts...

     XMPP - too fragmented.
     Signal - too public
     Simplex - too complicated

     So I use all three for different uses,

     Signal - family and friends
     Simplex - privacy focused discussion
     XMPP - back-up for Simplex

     And, I'll add to the mix :Matrix/Element, which I'm finding very interesting.

     @avoca I use Matrix sporadically and it is interesting as an alternative. Delta Chat the same (it is based on the use of email, but already encrypted by default) There are options for all occasions and different situations. But definitely avoiding centralization, for the sake of privacy, would be ideal.@simplex @delta

     @avoca hehehe I agree, if already using a system outside the MacOS / Windows scope is "strange" for many. To the regular user who gives more privacy, but anyway why not try to evangelize.

     I only use matrix/element for GrapheneOS's tech forums, but it does have potential.

     Agreed, Simplex would be my pick to talk with Edward Snowden types.

     But, with my family/friends, they would think I'm nuts. Signal was hard enough for them.
