@SpindleyQ @dosnostalgic from what I heard they were planning to make a FMV adventure game that felt like playing a horror 80s b-movie. If that was the intention, they nailed that perfectly: it's a mediocre FMV horror adventure game in all regards. Even the "famous bathroom scene" fits in there.
Granted, I'd have expected differently since it was written by a woman but, okay.

Unless it's Démoni, that one is just plain stupid fun.
But anyway, the thing that I realized about Phantasmagoria, after replaying it a few months ago, is how it does not feel like a 7 CDs game at all. Not even for 1995. -

Perhaps if they left the movie parts to an *actual director* it would've been at least a better movie, if not a better game, but as it was, that project failed at both movie and FMV adventure.
Also they also left lovely poop jokes easter eggs in. Because Sierra.
