day 1 with my icarus !fpens
from the user manual on how to replace the nib:
1. Unscrew the section
2. Pull off any sacs or breather tubes from the back of the feed
3. Get a long, hard object that can fit into the bore (about 3/16" in diameter should do it)
4. Push the whole apparatus out.
…
-ok not looking forward to doing this every time. for the daedalus i only needed to pull the feed and nib out, but because of the breather hole in the icarus…
-oh no there's silicone grease in all the friction fit parts. what if i get some on the nib and it doesn't write too well
-filling with sac isn't too effective when the sailor jentle ink bottles are so shallow. filled up half of it before i called it quits
-hmm, since it's removable, maybe i'll just syringe fill the sac next time?
-on the other hand i'm worried that it slips out and everything leaks within the barrel welp
as for the writing aspect it seems to lay down more ink in general, and the flow seems slightly better than the daedalus. i think i still like the daedalus more currently but we'll see
