     @arunisaac xmpp yes, gnusocial does not tell if you are online or not. anyway designers/programmers should take it into account.

     @arunisaac but it the person doesn't post you don't know. Other protocols tell you if it's connected in real time without user intervention.

     @arunisaac Absolutely. There's no social that doesn't leak some information, the problem is how much and who can access to it.
