   Also just found out that TradeMe shut down my account due to inactivity, and took my money. Is this legal? If so, the law needs changing.

     @xurizaemon all the links in the email point to #trademe.co.nz URLs so I think it's legit. I also thinks it's a predatory business practice

     @xurizaemon arbitrarily closing a customer's account and keeping their money seems like something that shouldn't be legal ever.

     @xurizaemon like any corporate psychopath, if it's legal for TradeMe to pocket your money they will grow their capital by doing just that.

     @xurizaemon that's why legal systems that (foolishly?) allow synthetic psychopaths to exist should ensure pocketing money is always illegal

     @xurizaemon the problem is that TradeMe are allowed to force people to bank money with them, to use services that don't actually cost money
