@nerthos RIP the whole fucking Free Software movement, if we can't do something about this fucking cancer infesting it. You would think what the Libreboot developer did would be a wake up call to the FSF. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/159099
- Cristóbal repeated this.

@dolus You just have to accept that a lot of good things will die because of that cancer until it kills this generation of the organism.

@dwmatiz Reminder: There was a speaker who was literally pushing to have licenses with "non commercial" clauses to be considered libre, at last years LibrePlanet. It's like these people do not even understand the point of Free Software!

@nepfag This isn't funny though... When RMS is gone, the people who were pushing for this shit will be running the FSF. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/6965

@nepfag At least RMS and the likes of Eben Moglen understand that freedom is more important than feelings. That's all gone once Christopher Webber and his ilk take over.
And let's not over estimate how important Linux -the kernel- actually is. It could (in theory) be replaced by one of the BSD kernels; just like GNU can be replaced with some other userland. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/159124

@nepfag Historically, the FSF provided needed counterbalance to the more "business friendly" open source camp. And even then, were it only the FSF that they were infecting, you might have a point; but how many programming languages have some cancerous 'code of conduct' or another foisted on them? How many companies are spewing SJW propaganda and firing people who step out of line?
It might be true that the importance of FSF is largely symbolic these days, but symbols actually do matter; and when the cancer has taken it for themselves, it will make it all the easier to spread their bullshit ideas even further. https://gs.smuglo.li/attachment/32888
