     @hakui @gargron @lambadalambda @hoodie but this is genuinely a fault of gnusocial, not mastodon. gnusocial should not federate notices without the public tag to servers not mentioned in the notice. gnusocial itself is badly made.

     @delores @hakui @gargron @lambadalambda @hoodie Unfortunately, I've seen this failure since StatusNet. This lack of posting modes settings makes GNUSocial "less" trustable than another federated social networks like Diaspora* and/or pump.io.
