     It comes with standard Android by default, but there's also an official de-googlised version of Android available:

     Because it's official it's relatively easy to install, much easier than e.g. Lineage.

     Currently the site talks about FP2, I don't know when this will be available for Fairphone 3.

     I think they're having to balance paying a fair wage with keeping the price at a reasonable level.

     In this situation, the only thing they can ethically compromise on is specs.

     If they'd higher specs, it would have put the phone out of a lot of people's price range. If they'd used cheaper materials, it wouldn't have been fair any more.
