   But my equipment was a cell phone, no tripod, and I was behind a fucking gate.

     @benoit yes, that's why clip on lens will never get there. But what about external usb-c lens, with a built-in CCD?

     There was a body-less Sony Alpha camera a while ago, but the Android app was atrocious, and it was over WiFi with unacceptable preview latency.

     Then I want a solution to this problem. Come on, engineers... do your engineering thing and make interchangeable tele lens for my smartphone already.
